Since 2014, we’ve been researching workplace health and wellbeing in UK organisations through our Britain's Healthiest Workplace survey.
Over the past 10 years, we've gathered data from hundreds of organisations and thousands of employees, allowing us to provide insights on some of the key employee health and wellbeing trends, and their impact on business productivity.
We're seeing common trends in the workplace
Productivity Trends
Lost productivity due to ill-health is estimated to have cost the UK economy £860 billion between 2014 and 2023.
Generational Health Gaps
In 2023, those aged 35 and younger were 63% more likely to suffer from depression compared to older employees; and 15% more likely to suffer from burnout.
Physical Health Decline
Obesity rates have increased 51% between 2014 and 2023.
