AFC Bournemouth announces extension with Vitality
The Cherries’ home ground has been named Vitality Stadium since 2015 and this new three-year deal will see it remain so at least until the summer of 2026. As part of the agreement, Vitality will also continue to have naming rights to Vitality East Stand and Vitality Main Stand.
AFC Bournemouth and Vitality have enjoyed a hugely successful partnership for many years, which has benefitted supporters and the wider community.
Earlier this year, Cherries’ Kickstart campaign, an initiative sponsored by Vitality which encourages people to be more active, concluded with 40 participants completing the Vitality parkrun, a 5k community event staged in Kings Park.
Vitality, which offers innovative health and life insurance, is a significant employer in Bournemouth and is also headline partner of the club’s Community Sports Trust. This is an arm of the club offering sessions to children and adults of all ages across sites in Dorset and the Isle of Wight.
Jim Frevola, president of business operations at AFC Bournemouth, said: “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Vitality and thank them for their continued support.
“They are very active partners and help the club promote an important health and wellbeing message to all our supporters.
“Their support for our Community Sports Trust and our flourishing women and girls’ set-up is also valued greatly and very much appreciated.
“When the new owners were carrying out their due diligence, Vitality stood out as a key brand and strategic partner, which is why we are so pleased they will continue their backing for at least the next three years.”
Neville Koopowitz, chief executive officer of Vitality, said: “We’re delighted to be building on our long-standing partnership with AFC Bournemouth. The club shares our commitment to encouraging healthier and happier lifestyles for their community, which reflects one of our core values at Vitality. Not only are we impressed by the work they do, but it’s also a pleasure to be able to support the town of Bournemouth, where one of our biggest UK offices is based.”
