New CEO Joins Vitality Health Insurance

Dr Arun Thiyagarajan this week joins Vitality in the role of CEO for its health insurance business, succeeding Dr Keith Klintworth, who had been with the insurer for over 14 years. 

Arun previously held the role of Global Healthcare Transformation Director at Bupa, having been in other roles there including General Manager – Bupa Global and UK Health Clinics; Responsible Officer and Medical Director – UK Health Clinics. Prior to this, Arun was a general practitioner and associate/Managing Director at Hedena Health in Oxford. 

Neville Koopowitz, Global CEO of Vitality said: “Arun joins Vitality at a very important time for the business. Having seen considerable growth in recent years, we start 2025 with more Vitality members than ever before and a commitment to continue to provide them with an innovative range of health support across prevention, primary and secondary care.

Arun also holds a non-executive director role at the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB). 

Dr Keith Klintworth remains at Vitality in a consultant role.
