Vitality announces three new ambassadors

Next generation health, life and car insurer, Vitality, has today announced a partnership with cricket professionals Nat Sciver-Brunt, Sophia Dunkley and former England cricketer, Isa Guha, as part of its on-going commitment to championing women in sport.

The addition of the trio means that Vitality will have six of the UK’s best cricketers in its roster which includes Heather Knight, Jos Buttler and Joe Root.

Nat Sciver-Brunt - vice-captain and current Women’s Cricketer of the Year - and Sophia Dunkley are both members of the England Women’s team, while Isa Guha is a television and radio broadcaster.

Vitality research shows improvements to activity levels can make a positive difference to people’s long-term health and through the extra nudge of incentives and rewards they can be encouraged to make healthy choices every day.

As such, Vitality partners with leading sports figures, teams and events to amplify its message around health and wellness. It has long since been a proactive supporter of women’s sport, from its sponsorship of the Vitality Women’s FA Cup and numerous women’s football teams to partnerships with England Cricket, England Netball, England Hockey and This Mum Runs - a running community for new mums*.

The decision to extend its list of ambassadors aims to inspire many more women and girls to get active and take up sport in line with Vitality’s core purpose - to make people healthier and to enhance and protect their lives.

Nat Sciver-Brunt, said: “I’m thrilled to be joining Vitality as an ambassador. Taking care of one’s health and wellbeing is hugely important, and to be able to work with Vitality and share this message while amplifying the visibility of women’s sport is hugely exciting.”

Sophia Dunkley, said: “I am delighted to be joining Vitality as an ambassador. Encouraging people – in particular women and girls – to take up sport such as cricket is a huge passion of mine and I take great pride in joining a roster of other great women in sport.”

Isa Guha, said: “I’m really proud to be a Vitality Ambassador. Increasing awareness of women’s sport is something I am really passionate about and it’s great to see brands like Vitality continuing its long-standing support. I look forward to helping the nation make healthier choices and to seeing more women and girls get active.”

Neville Koopowitz, CEO of Vitality, said: “We are delighted to welcome Nat, Sophia and Isa to our wonderful group of Vitality Ambassadors. Together, we aim to help inspire people - and women and girls in particular - to get active, try cricket or other physical activity, in order to lead healthier lives in line with our core purpose.”
