Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill and Jonny Wilkinson team up with parkrunners to launch new Vitality advertising campaign
Vitality has launched its latest marketing campaign, with keen parkrunners and amateur rugby players starring alongside Vitality Ambassadors Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, Jonny Wilkinson, Maro Itoje, Joe Root, Ellie Simmonds and Stanley the Dachshund.Health and life insurer Vitality invited a group of parkrunners and players from Sevenoaks RFC to be extras in their most recent TV idents, which consist of 5 and 10 second clips that will be shown across Sky News Sports Bulletins.
parkrun, in partnership with Vitality, supports local communities in organising free, weekly 5km timed runs every Saturday morning at venues across the UK. The volunteers who were selected for the campaign spent the day filming in Stoke Park, Guildford.
The extras jogged and stretched with Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill, honed their rugby skills with Jonny Wilkinson and Maro Itoje, developed their cricket skills with Joe Root and practiced swimming with Ellie Simmonds – all under the watchful eye of Stanley the Vitality Dachshund.
Keith Kropman, Director of Marketing and HR at Vitality, said: “Partnerships like our collaboration with parkrun are important to us because they demonstrate how people can change their everyday behaviour and take regular small steps to a healthier life.
“We wanted to communicate this message through our advertising in a fun way that directly engages and involves our audience, and including parkrunners and amateur rugby players in our latest campaign was the perfect way to do this.”
The campaign launches tomorrow (Friday 1 June) on Sky News Sports Bulletins. To view a selection of the idents, click here
