"Refer a Friend" (the "Promotion") Terms and Conditions
Section 1 - Overview
How long is the "Promotion" live for?
This Promotion is open to Vitality members only (i.e. someone who owns an insurance product sold by Vitality) from 00:01 on 28 November 2022 until midnight on 30 June 2023 (this timeframe is referred to as the "Offer Period")
Who can "refer a friend" and become a "Referring Member"?
Anyone who: (1) owns an insurance product sold by Vitality; and (2) visits the dedicated Car Referral landing page (https://www.vitality.co.uk/rewards/good-driving/refer-a-friend/) and (3) generates a unique referral link to share online (either via social media or email) with a friend or family member who meets the requirements of a “Referred Friend”.
For the avoidance of doubt, professional financial advisers, authorised representatives, or individual insurance intermediaries cannot be “Referring Members” in a professional capacity.
A Referring Member may refer multiple friends, provided each friend/family member separately fulfils the criteria of a “Referred Friend”.
What is an "Car Insurance Plan"?
A VitalityCar car insurance plan purchased directly online from Vitality, via the Referring Member’s unique link, and no other third party broker or intermediary. Plans purchased on the phone do not qualify.
What does your friend (the "Referred Friend") need to do in order for you (the "Referring Member") to qualify for the Reward?
To become a "Referred Friend" the friend/family member needs to:
- Purchase a Car Insurance Plan online, directly from Vitality (as a result of being sent a unique referral link by the Referring Member)
- Complete all steps in the Referral Process (at Section 2 of these Terms and Conditions).
For the avoidance of doubt:
- The Car Insurance Plan must be purchased by the Referred Friend through the unique referral link only; not via an aggregator, affiliate, previously saved or retrieved quote, or over the phone.
- Where a Referred Friend purchases a Car Insurance Plan through the unique link, this will only count as one (1) Referral, and only the Referring Member whose unique link was used will receive the Reward..
What’s the "Reward"?
One (1) Amazon Gift Card to the value of £100 (Pounds Sterling). For the avoidance of doubt, only one Reward is available for the Referring Member each time a Referred Friend purchases a Car Insurance Plan in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Who is “Vitality”
Vitality Corporate Services Limited, trading as VitalityHealth and VitalityLife and VitalityCar.

A reminder email will be sent 24 hours after the initial reward email has been sent. Click on the link in the email to claim the reward within 90 days of receiving the email, as it will expire after this time. Section 3 – Further details
- Subject to the clauses below, the Reward will be made available as set out in Sections 1 and 2.
- As per Section 2, if the Referring Member qualifies, after the Referred Friend’s Car Insurance Plan has been active for 90 days, they will receive an email within 30 days to claim their Reward, provided that these Terms and Conditions have been met, and all payable premiums are up to date. The Referred Friend must claim their Reward within 90 days, before the link expires. If the Reward has not been received within 4 months of the Referred Friend’s Car Insurance Plan commencing, please contact Vitality at [email protected]. Vitality will not investigate any queries received 15 months or more after the commencement of the Referred Friend’s Car Insurance Plan.
- Subject to clause 4 below, all Rewards are non-transferable, non-exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
- In the event that a Reward is unavailable due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, Vitality reserves the right to substitute it for another of similar value.
- Vitality reserves the right to suspend or cancel transactions and reallocate Rewards if the referral (for which a Reward has been given) is suspected of being fraudulent and in such circumstances the Referring Member or Referred Friend may have their details passed to the relevant authorities for further investigation.
- Vitality accepts no liability for lost entries and no responsibility for difficulties experienced in submitting an entry to this Promotion, including any technical, hardware or software failures of any kind or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or prohibit an individual’s ability to participate in the Promotion.
- Where Vitality needs to contact a Referring Member or Referred Friend via email, it is that individual’s responsibility to provide Vitality with a valid, active email address, and Vitality cannot be held responsible for an invalid email address or other problems relating to any delay to the delivery of or non-receipt of emails, including the effect of spam filters.
- The Rewards are subject to the following disclaimers:

Amazon.co.uk gift cards may be redeemed on the Amazon.co.uk website towards the purchase of eligible products listed in Amazon’s online catalogue and sold by Amazon.co.uk or any other seller selling through Amazon.co.uk. - Any personal data collected during this Promotion will be collected, stored, and processed in accordance with Vitality’s Privacy Notice, which is available to view at vitality.co.uk/legal.
- When sending any information to Vitality by post or email, please consider the security measures listed at www.vitality.co.uk/data-protection.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vitality accepts no liability for any loss, damage and/or personal injury suffered by participating in this Promotion and/or arising out of the enjoyment of a Reward.
- Vitality reserves the right to alter, amend or terminate the Promotion at any stage without prior notice. By continuing to take part in the Promotion (following any such alterations or amendments), Referring Members and Referred Friends shall be deemed to have agreed in such alterations or amendments.
- This Promotion is administered by Buyapowa Limited on behalf of Vitality. By participating online and entering your details, you agree to share personal information for the purposes of data processing for this Promotion.
- For the avoidance of doubt, this Promotion is separate from all other Vitality “Refer a Friend” incentives, which are governed by separate terms and conditions (found at vitality.co.uk/refer/terms)
- For the further avoidance of doubt, where a Referral is made via social media, the Referring Member acknowledges and accepts that neither Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, nor Twitter take responsibility for the Promotion.
