    About Bluecrest Health Assessments

Bluecrest provides an affordable and convenient health assessment option without compromising on high quality and clinical robustness.

Bluecrest uses a UKAS/CPA* accredited laboratory clinically accredited to ISO 15189. As part of its CPA status, the laboratory is required to undergo continual auditing to ensure clinical accuracy and quality. *CPA Clinical Pathology Accreditation

Bluecrest use a specialist Cardiology Laboratory for all cardiology work.  The team uses the latest telemedicine systems, which allows them to provide immediate referrals if any high-risk cardiac abnormalities are detected. Audited by some of the top Cardiologists in the UK and holding ISO9001/2000 status for Quality Assurance, you can trust the quality of your results.

    Bluecrest Active assessment

With the Active assessment, you’ll receive over 50 key readings covering heart, liver, kidneys, stroke risk, blood clots right the way through to iron, calcium, cholesterol and glucose level - highlighting any risk areas before they become problematic. On top of the blood tests and body composition analysis, you will also receive an ECG check for atrial fibrillation.

    Bluecrest Core assessment

The Core assessment also provides you with a more detailed overview of your heart health and stroke risk, with the addition of a lung function check for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and a haematology profile (full blood count). People with COPD are at a higher risk of developing lung cancer, but a lung function test can help detect COPD before any symptoms become apparent. The haematology profile gives a greater insight into common blood disorders including anaemia, haemophilia, blood clots and blood cancers like leukaemia, lymphoma and myeloma.

    Bluecrest Advanced assessment

The Advanced assessment includes a comprehensive analysis of your heart, artery, lung and blood health. With a focus on heart disease and stroke prevention, the package also includes an additional consultation where you can discuss your personal results in detail with one of Bluecrest's experienced registered GPs.

All assessments also include an annual GP helpline available 24/7 to give you added peace of mind after your assessment.

Members aged 40 or over are eligible for a bowel cancer screening test (FIT). Male members aged 40 or over are also eligible for a prostate cancer screening test (PSA).
Bluecrest uses the very latest mobile assessment equipment at their network of over 2,000 hotel conference centres across the UK and Ireland. The venues have been chosen based on their convenient locations, comfortable surroundings, accessibility, parking and transport links. All venues are regularly quality checked by Bluecrest’s Events team and Assessment Specialists to ensure they meet their high standards. They only use high quality, private assessment rooms. And since they don’t have the same overheads associated with running their own private hospital, they’re able to pass their savings on to you by offering affordable health checks which are medically robust.
Once you’ve joined Vitality on an eligible health, life insurance or Vitality at Work plan, simply log into Member Zone online and book from the dedicated Bluecrest partner page.
If you're aged 40 or over and the differenced between your Vitality Age and your actual age is 5 or more years, you can get 100% off an Advanced Bluecrest Health Assessment.
Depending on the tests or assessment that you’ve chosen, your appointment will take anywhere from 30 to 40 minutes.
You’ll receive a minimum 16-page Personal Health Report in the post, which breaks down your results into over 50 readings. What’s more, each section contains a traffic light rating, so you’ll quickly be able to understand areas that need attention.

Results will also be available online in your secure Bluecrest Assessment Hub, approximately 8 days after your assessment.
